Professional Experience

Jemma Basso has eight years’ professional experience in urban design and architecture. She has a broad range of experience and has a strong interest in mixed-use planning, strategic master planning and large transport led urban renewal projects. Jemma is highly skilled at preparing strategic frameworks, precinct strategies, and urban design reports to support planning proposals.

Jemma has a growing portfolio in Sydney and has worked on major city-shaping projects. Prior to Architectus, Jemma led a team of consultants for the preparation of a strategic master plan for Moore Park 2040 and was a key contributor to the preparation of the urban design strategy and planning amendment for the Circular Quay Tower development. As a senior urban designer, Jemma’s role involves client management, coordinating sub-consultants and providing leadership of projects and teams. She is also responsible for producing urban design reports and analysis, master planning, strategic frameworks, DCP and re-zoning amendments, and 2D and 3D graphics.
