Ray is CEO of award-winning Australian architecture and design practice, Architectus. He leads a team of more than 700 architects and designers working across all aspects and typologies of the built environment.

He is passionate about transformative city shaping projects and believes the best design solutions are underpinned by rigorous analysis and supported by open and collaborative client engagement. He advocates for design that is people focused and creates civic value beyond the confines of the site.

During his 30-year career, Ray has led significant projects including the recent planning and urban design framework for the 24-hectare Central Precinct, a sweeping renewal of Sydney’s largest transport hub. He’s built strong relationship with clients, councils and consultants, and has collaborated with prestigious international architects, most notably acclaimed German studio Christoph Ingenhoven, co-designing the multi-award-winning 1 Bligh Street and residential tower 505 George Street.
