Since joining Architectus in 2008 Kevin has brought his depth of experience to winning key transport and infrastructure projects. He has helped build a talented transport team and in recognition of his abilities to win, develop and deliver multiple projects, was appointed Group Head of Rail and Infrastructure in March 2010. Prior to joining Architectus Kevin worked at HASSELL on a broad spectrum of transport, public and commercial projects. His work during this time included Sulman Award winning projects Sydney Olympic Park Station remodelling and the Epping to Chatswood Rail Link. He also led the ANZ Centre project, Melbourne; a building of 87 000 m2 with 6 Star AGBC rating and winner of the 2010 AIA (Victoria) Architecture Award for Commercial Architecture.
During the 14 years Kevin worked at Foster + Partners, as an Associate from 1993, he was closely involved in the design and delivery of a number of significant projects ranging in scale and complexity from underground railways in Bilbao, the Reichstag in Berlin, Millau Viaduct, wind turbines for Enercon, modular petrol stations for Repsol, street furniture for JC Decaux to the design of a new retail identity with flagship stores in New York and London.
Kevin has extensive experience leading workshops and interactive sessions with client groups and stakeholders. He has a passionate enthusiasm for people focused design, and believes that achieving a clear and efficient expression of function leads to humane, effective, and excellent design. Kevin appreciates the city changing and regenerative impacts of infrastructure and how much more than transport projects these opportunities provide for urban renewal.
