Professional Experience

Colin Odbert has over 20 years of experience in the design and documentation of projects across the retail, commercial, hotel, residential, education, health, and aged care sectors. He provides high-level expertise in construction, project and stakeholder management.

Colin’s portfolio encompasses the innovative Western Sydney University campus building at 1 Parramatta Square and elegant Sydney commercial tower, 275 George Street, which is due for completion in 2019.

He led design on the awarded mixed-use development, Barrack Place, steering the project through all stages from initial feasibility and design competition success to final delivery. The completed building’s unique ground plane design – that incorporates a new public thoroughfare indented with cafes and retail spaces – contributed to the development’s achievement of a Green Building Council of Australia 6 Star Green Star rating and Platinum WELL Building rating.

As the Sydney studio leader, Colin is focused on supporting the practice culture of collaboration and world-class design. He has excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to understand and interpret project briefs to ensure best outcomes while minimising client exposure to risk.
