Urban
Futures
Architectus has one of the largest integrated urban design and planning teams in Australia.
Our Urban Futures sector brings together leading thinkers and innovators to collaborate on projects, master plans, approvals, designs, and policies. Together, we provide advice and solutions that are holistic, achievable, community-focused, and based on sound strategy and quality design.
Collectively we have worked on 30+ rezoning projects, planned and designed for 30+ major town centres and cities, produced detailed master plans for over 100,000 apartments, and secured planning approvals for city-shaping developments including hospitals, galleries, rail infrastructure, and landmark buildings.
We start with big-picture, strategic thinking on major projects so we get the vision, character, and structure of the precinct right before drilling down into the detail.
Some of our city-shaping projects include the Planning and Urban Design Framework for the Central Precinct Renewal Program, the Master Plan and New Planning Framework for the Riverwood Estate State Significant Precinct, and the Parramatta City Centre Built Form Framework, all in greater Sydney.
The Urban Futures sector, which also incorporates Landscape Architecture, is part of our Communities portfolio at Architectus. This group responds to the increasing overlap between urban renewal, public spaces, and learning campuses.
