Basil Richardson

Bachelor of Architecture,
Carnegie Mellon University, USA

At Architectus, Basil is focused on designing and delivering great outcomes for our clients in Education. He brings years of relevant experience managing and coordinating complex, large-scale projects in the field, combined with cross-sector thinking from Commercial, Health, Residential and Hospitality design.

An architect adept at working on a range of building typologies, Basil has three decades of experience internationally and in Australia, including, most recently, at Fitzpatrick + Partners and Bates Smart. During that time he’s developed valuable skills in identifying and resolving conflicts during the documentation and construction phases.

He also maintains a great working knowledge of the latest sustainability initiatives, as well as Australian codes, regulations, and standards – and he has successfully overseen their implementation across multiple projects.

From the design stages through to site completion, Basil creates a positive working relationship with the client while also safeguarding the integrity of the design throughout the process.
