Amanda is passionate about city making and transforming the way we live and move through our cities. She has extensive experience in infrastructure and transport architecture and the enhancement of public spaces. Her practice of architecture is grounded in an appreciation of place and strengthening community values.

Amanda’s capabilities as an architect have developed through working on significant public infrastructure projects both domestically and internationally. She has worked closely with key stakeholder groups, delivering transport and infrastructure projects to Queensland for Translink and TMR, Brisbane City Council, Moreton Bay Regional Council and Queensland Rail.

Her acute consideration of briefing and requirements leads to a high degree of efficiency and accuracy in design. In addition, Amanda has specific skills in stakeholder negotiation and a collaborative design process approach.

Amanda is known for adding value and innovation to projects, while minimising costs. Her enduring designs have a practical element, with spaces having legibility of design that see her creating spaces for people to enjoy that are accessible, easy to use and logical to navigate.

Having spent considerable time on site on a significant international heritage infrastructure project, Amanda has highly developed skills in problem solving and design detailing. Amanda’s experience on this project has provided her with an understanding of the construction process and how accurate and thoughtful design detailing can add to the “constructability” of a design.
