Originally from the United Kingdom, Lauren Clerey has 10 years’ experience as an urban planner and designer, working primarily on projects in Australia including Melbourne and in the greater region of Victoria. She joined the Architectus team in early 2018 from SJB Urban, bringing with her wide-ranging experience in master planning, design guidance, policy formation, and public consultation.

Lauren has a keen interest and appreciation of the specific challenges facing Australian cities and enjoys the practice of interdisciplinary collaboration and enquiry. Lauren’s research interests seek to recognise and conceive strategic design parameters for the urban environment. Her exploration and continued pursuit in study of urban spaces has developed into a comprehensive understanding of cities; how they function, how we use them, how we can make them healthier, smarter, sustainable and profoundly more habitable.
