Array at 1 Eden Park Drive is a commercial office building featuring an innovative and environmentally responsive façade.

Located in the Eden Park Precinct of Sydney’s Macquarie Park business district, it has close access to public transport including the Metro station on the corner of Waterloo Road and Lane Cove Road.

Responding to the constrained urban context of the site, views to the north and eastern edges of the building have been maximised over existing buildings on Eden Park Drive.

A parametric-modelled façade solution provides abundant access to daylight, striking the optimum balance between performance and amenity.

Light, bright spaces with views

The site’s floor plans have been stretched over the building’s east-west access to maximise views to the north while allowing greater sunlight control.

Carefully considered materiality embraces views and connections to the public areas of Eden Park Drive while providing shade to protect the internal office spaces.

Clear full-height glazing to the east connects the deep western portions of the building to the central precinct, welcoming the morning sun deep into the office space.

Landscaped outdoor terraces at levels 6 and 7 benefit the tenants and reduce heat load on the roof areas.

A high-achieving building for sustainability

Our project team worked collaboratively with the building owner to future proof the value of the asset through embedded climate responsive elements and features.

In 2024, Array achieved WELL Core Platinum Certification – the highest level possible under the WELL Building Standard for health and wellbeing.

It’s the first building in Sydney’s Macquarie Park to achieve this level of certification. Drawing on an integrated design approach and whole-of-systems thinking, the building also earned a 5 Star Green Star Design & As Built certified rating.
