The redevelopment of HMAS Cairns consists of new facilities to cater for the arrival of the new Armidale Class Patrol Boat and the consolidation of disparate function across Cairns.

The development consists of a new central building, gymnasium and substation as well as the refurbishment of existing workshops, logistics stores, training buildings and the historical TS Endeavour building.

Excellent planning ensured the project was completed with minimal disruptions, allowing the Navy Base to remain operational – a critical requirement of the brief.
