Len has over 15 years’ experience in the design and documentation of highly technical projects including laboratories, pharmaceutical production facilities, educational facilities, and airports. Len has worked on key projects at Architectus since 2007 under secondment from the specialist laboratory practice A5 before joining the Architectus team as an employee in 2016.
Len is a highly skilled Revit modeller and has been model manager on significant projects such as the $66 million University of Melbourne Arts West Redevelopment. He has documented extremely complex projects such as the 6th and 7th baggage carousel at Melbourne Airport where new baggage conveyors had to be integrated with an intricate maze of existing structure and services. On the William Macmahon Ball Theatre he documented the suspended ceiling which is an undulating fractal geometry in acrylic sheet. During his time with A5, Len developed a detailed knowledge of clean room architecture and design, working on numerous projects for clients including CSL and GlaxoSmithKline.
Much of Len’s experience has been in the adaptive re-use, expansion and alteration of existing facilities. Using point cloud models, thorough site analysis and rigorous coordination, Len has an enviable track record in achieving design documentation which has been cited by technical experts and contractors as exemplary. He is a competent team leader providing clear direction to the design team and works collaboratively and productively with all sub-consultants.
