Our team was commissioned for the Preliminary Business Case that included the Concept Design for the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) Urban Corner and Sub-Acute Services Renewal project located in Woolloongabba.
The design response informs the proposed development of a new Sub-Acute Rehabilitation facility including long-stay inpatients units, integrated allied health and outpatients services, and facilitate future expansion strategies throughout the site.
PAH provides state-wide rehabilitation services for Spinal and Brain Injury patients.
The design response aims to incorporate innovative and best-practice rehabilitation clinical approaches in a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment.
Also included is an expansion of the Geriatric and General Rehabilitation services to meet increasing health service requirements.
The project synthesises urban and precinct-wide design drivers with the needs of a diverse client and stakeholder group through a detailed consultation process.
We worked in collaboration with financial, risk and clinical service teams to develop a design response which exemplifies future development directions for Metro South Health.
