Working in a joint venture with BVN Architecture, we were involved in a significant expansion of existing facilities at Gallipoli Barracks – making it one of the largest army barracks in Australia.

Known as Enhanced Land Force Stage 2B (ELF2B), the $800 million expansion allows the barracks to accommodate many more personnel, increasing from 3000 t0 5400.

The project comprises new Command, Training, Maintenance, Operational Support and Administrative Functions within an integrated master planned and landscaped precinct.

The site strategy involves establishing a new master plan creating a hierarchy for each unit precinct. That includes locating and orienting the facilities for an optimal climate response, integrating them into the existing urban and natural landscape, and creating a pedestrian circulation network. Buildings are also designed to be robust and adaptable.
