Brookfield Place reactivates transport precinct with practical completion

Brookfield Place Sydney has reached a major milestone with Brookfield Properties recently announcing practical completion.

It has been a privilege to work closely with MAKE Architects, Brookfield Properties and Multiplex to realise this significant milestone and new world-class precinct for Sydney.

The project’s centrepiece is a 27-level PCA Premium Grade commercial tower (10 Carrington Street) offering world-class facilities, amenities and finishes to set a new standard in workplace design.

The redevelopment includes the restoration of Shell House and 285 George Street, breathing new life into a historic Sydney landmark. It also includes approximately ~6,000 square metres of high-end retail, a revitalised Wynyard Lane and a major upgrade to Wynyard Station’s George Street entrance connecting to a grand transit hall and public concourse.

Architectus Principal Robert Ousey said “To work with our design partners Brookfield Properties, MAKE Architects and Multiplex on such a new kind of urban centre has been a privilege.

Thoughtful planning and design has transformed underutilised areas within the expansive site into welcoming and energised zones of interest. We are already seeing the George Street entrance and grand transit hall come to life and are very much looking forward to seeing the tenants enjoy this space for years to come.”
