Architectus Conrad Gargett projects
shortlisted for Victorian Architecture Awards
shortlisted for Victorian Architecture Awards
Two of our projects have been shortlisted in this year’s Victorian Architecture Awards – the world-leading Victorian Heart Hospital and inclusive new community Markham Avenue.
Shortlisted for both the 2024 Melbourne Prize and in the Public Architecture category, the Victorian Heart Hospital is the southern hemisphere’s first dedicated cardiac hospital.
Designed by Conrad Gargett (now merged with Architectus) and Wardle, the project has already earned significant recognition, including at the 2023 World Architecture Festival (WAF) awards and the 2023 INDE.Awards.
An accessible and socially sustainable new community, Markham Avenue was shortlisted for Residential Architecture.
One of the first projects designed and delivered under Homes Victoria’s Big Housing Build, the project is part of a major investment in public and affordable housing across the state.
Congratulations to our design teams who contributed to these outstanding projects – and good luck to our fellow shortlisted nominees.
Winners will be announced on 7 June at an event celebrating the Victorian Architecture Awards, part of the Australian Institute of Architects’ National Architecture Awards program.
