Architectus acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and learn.
We honour their unique cultural and spiritual relationships with the lands, waters, skies, and communities, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
Architectus are celebrating the recognition of two of our projects at the 2019 Master Builders Association NSW Excellence Awards.
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at the University of Sydney received the ‘Excellence in Best Use of Glass’ award for its economically advanced façade made from Sefar-Okalux architectural glass.
The innovative façade maximises daylight, reflects sky conditions and reduces solar gain in high heat environments, therefore decreasing the need for central cooling systems. FASS also picked up an award in the category of ‘Tertiary Buildings, $25m – $75m’.

Winning the ‘Health Buildings, $30m – $50m’ award, the design for the Royal Far West (RFW) Centre for Country Kids responds to its seaside location with natural, warm and calm materials creating a light-filled inviting place that expresses the nature of RFW’s Care for Country Kids.
