Sod-turning ceremony at New Schools 2023 site

Architectus Principal and National Education Sector Leader, Mark van den Enden this week attended the official sod-turning ceremony for Hayes Hill Primary School (interim name).

As part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to delivering 100 new schools between 2019 and 2026, Architectus was appointed by the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) to design and deliver six new schools in 2023.

The new Hayes Hill Primary School (interim name) will help meet the needs of the growing local population in accessing great education close to home, with space for 525 local students and open for enrolments for students in Prep to Grade 6. Scheduled to open in 2023 the school will include:

  • An administration building with a library, staff offices and amenities as well as specialist teaching areas for science and food technology.
  • Two learning neighbourhood buildings with general-purpose classrooms, and flexible and collaborative teaching spaces.
  • A community hub building with a competition-grade gymnasium, canteen, music and drama space.
  • Two outdoor hardcourts
  • Sports field

We look forward to sharing more about the project soon.
