Shell House wins National Trust Heritage Award
The Australian National Trust has recognised Shell House with the
2021 Conservation: Built Heritage award.
On Thursday 13th May, The National Trust NSW celebrated its 27th year of recognising projects, initiatives and individuals that demonstrate excellence in the conservation, protection, and interpretation of Aboriginal, built, natural and cultural heritage. Architectus are proud to have collaborated with Make Architects to reimagine Shell House as part of the transport precinct in Sydney’s CBD, Brookfield Place, which received the Conservation: Built Heritage award at the ceremony.
Breathing new life into an historic landmark and creating 8700 m2 NLA of boutique office space, sees Shell House re-established to its original use as a prestigious office building.
The National Trust Heritage Awards are the signature event of the Australian Heritage Festival in New South Wales and are proudly supported by the NSW Government through the Heritage Council of NSW.
