Architectus was engaged by Victoria University to design the redevelopment of Level 1, Building M, of the Footscray Park Campus into a contemporary one-stop-shop, branded as ‘VUHQ’.

VUHQ is an initiative of Victoria University’s Student Experience Task-force and is a vital part of campus life, communication and interaction with students. VUHQ promotes the virtues of the university and encourages enrolments through student focus, attention and care.

The space is designed to accommodate, integrate and support students, a hub where students feel comfortable to linger and retreat, and includes administration and enrolment services, student support services, student wellbeing services, and dedicated student areas for working and casual interactions.

Located centrally on the Footscray Park campus, a key objective of the design was to provide greater visual and physical connections between adjacent courtyards and the wider campus.
