Located in one of Western Sydney’s developing suburbs, Jordan Springs Regional Open Space will be the centrepiece of a new community – a welcoming, inclusive destination with a strong sense of place.

Working closely with developer Lendlease, our Landscape Architecture team has drawn on the area’s unique landscape settings to design lively gathering places for sport, recreation, and social activities for 18,000 residents and community members.

Throughout the planning process, Lendlease and Penrith City Council took a collaborative approach to defining the project requirements for this jointly-funded  public asset. The resulting masterplan formed the basis for stakeholder consultation, setting the fixed and required elements and highlighting areas with opportunities for input and ideas.

The consultation revolved around year 3-4 students at Jordan Springs Public School and the Traditional Custodians and First Nations organisations. Their eedback, ideas, and insights informed the development of the proposed design.

Hearing from people with direct connections to the site is vital to developing a place the community will embrace.
