Industry Lanes at 459-471 Church Street is a precinct development of a new generation workplace which draws on the local vernacular and urban amenity of Melbourne’s inner-city neighbourhood of Richmond. Key to the regeneration of the site is the creation of a workplace that not only offers a landmark architectural vision but contemporary working environments.
Located on a site that is well connected to nearby parklands, lifestyle activity and central Melbourne, we have designed a precinct that enhances connectivity within the neighbourhood, drawing people through the site between Church Street and Brighton Street. An open and inviting street frontage invigorates Shamrock Street and increases activity at ground level.
The people experience has been curated from public realm through to workplace environments. Careful consideration of proportion at the ground interface and layering of textures and materiality transitions the scale and visual impact of the overall project, resulting in an approachable, interconnected and communal precinct.
Offering a range of working environments, catering to larger tenants, strata and smaller business owners, the precinct will include childcare as proposed in the master plan vision, supporting a balanced work life model and sustainable workplace strategy.
Industry Lanes has been awarded a 5 Star Green Star – Design & As Built v1.2 Review Rating, which represents Australian Excellence in sustainable design.
