The Holy Spirit Seminary at Banyo, continues the master planning philosophy developed for our successful competition entry for the Australian Catholic University on the same site.
The seminary, a complex for the training of Catholic priests, consists of training and administration areas together with the student’s and teacher’s residences. These two differing functions are strung along two different generating geometries. The residences radiate from the university’s oval, with students and teachers placed on opposite sides of the entry road. The residences are designed to face away from the oval with roadways and service areas providing a buffer to this activity.
