Bank Street Park is a 1.1-hectare sustainable harbourside park that will surround the southern pylons of Sydney’s ANZAC Bridge. Funded by the New South Wales Government, Bank Street Park will increase accessibility and views to Sydney Harbour, becoming the exciting first stage of Blackwattle Bay’s urban renewal.

The park will transform a previously industrial site into a green and accessible waterfront. Recreational facilities include a cycleway and walkways to and from the area, community spaces, public art, as well as improved access to Blackwattle Bay for kayakers and other paddlers.

Architectus provided project management and planning services to prepare a State Significant Development Application (SSDA) including a Scoping Report, Environmental Impact Statement and Response to Submissions report.

The extensive reports considered biodiversity and ecology, heritage, traffic, social impacts, noise and vibration, ecological sustainable development, and navigational, economic and cumulative impacts.

Our report found that environmental impacts were acceptable, and any potential adverse impacts were appropriately mitigated.
