Sydney’s Music & Architecture series to kick off at Barrack Place
Architectus is proud to be supporting the Music & Architecture series, with its first live performance at Barrack Place.
Music & Architecture is a program of carefully curated music performances that celebrate Sydney’s musicians and artists, and public spaces that accentuate some of the city’s most architecturally significant office buildings.
This program is a collaboration between music curator Jonathan Zwartz, Architectus’ Jackie Blundell, and Investa Property Group, and has been made possible through the City of Sydney CBD Activation Grant and #rediscoversydney program.
The first of three live performances throughout the city will commence from midday, Thursday 18th February 2021 at the Architectus designed Barrack place, with award-winning, platinum selling singer, song writer and producer Ilan Kidron bringing Glassbreakers to the laneways. Subsequent performances will continue in other locations including Martin Place and Philip Street during February.
Designed to reflect the heritage laneways and carriageworks of the historical warehouse precinct in central Sydney, Barrack Place’s exposed-brick and cobblestone laneway connects with playful suspended art installations, and a range of retail, bar, and food offerings providing a relaxed setting for the Glassbreaker’s lunchtime pop-up performance.
