Thought-provoking lunch with CEDA

Principal Karl Traeger chairs a discussion on human activities in space at the Architectus studio

Architectus recently hosted the CEDA – Committee for Economic Development of Australia Trustee Luncheon, ‘Opportunities for the Australian space industry’ with guest speaker Head, Australian Space Agency, Dr. Megan Clark AC.

Chaired by Principal Karl Traeger, the lunch opened with an overarching question as to Australia’s role in the global conversation in the ethics and governance of human activities in space.

This formed a framework for a lively discussion that ranged from addressing technological challenges and opportunities before us, to the nature of the recent partnership agreements established with NASA, and the evidence found on other planets suggesting that Murphy’s Law is the most powerful law in the universe next to gravity.

Dr. Clark shared her expertise on the future of space exploration; highlighting opportunities for growth in the Australian space industry and expressing her support for the development of the next generation of space entrepreneurs. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to participate in such an important discussion on the future of Australian space exploration.
