Footscray library ‘NeXT’ project endorsed by local council

Feedback wanted on Footscray library proposal

Architectus are asking the community of Footscray what they think of the proposal for ‘NeXT’, the new library, community and cultural hub planned for central Footscray.

The feasibility study and business case has been endorsed by the Maribyrnong City Council and now the local community are invited to share their feedback through an interactive exhibition at the existing Footscray library.

Locals can ‘vote’ for their preferred elements within the proposal using the coloured balls that represent:

  • Green = Play: outdoor and performance
  • Pink = Group spaces
  • Yellow = Digital spaces
  • Blue = Solo spaces

Scale models of the three proposals contained within the business case are displayed, and a pin-up wall showcases all the design work to date. Survey forms are available at the current library, or you can participate in an online survey.
