443 Queen St recognised as top Brisbane project

443 Queen St, Brisbane selected as one of ‘Brisbane’s Top 15 Major Projects 2020’

Listed at number 13 in Brisbane’s Top 15 Major Projects 2020, 443 Queen St has been recognised for being Queensland’s first truly subtropical residential tower. Responding to its surrounding climate, Architectus and WOHA Architects‘ design for Cbus Property‘s 443 Queen St, brought to life by Probuild Constructions, captures breezes and shades from the sun to provide a seamless indoor-outdoor experience as a habitable, living subtropical garden.

The residential high-rise will offer the city of Brisbane a generous and welcoming public domain that establishes a strong link between city streets and river edge. 443 Queen St will open and frame important vistas, allowing the free flow of pedestrians from city to river and creating great riverside places for all.

A unique and locally responsive plan, form and language has been developed with the carpark and ground plane elements inspired by the natural riverside topography; the cliffs of Kangaroo Point expressed as strata naturally rising from the river edge.
