Architectus today announced the retirement of the practice’s long serving principal and former director, Ross Styles.
Long serving principal and former director of Architectus, Ross Styles, has retired bringing to close a distinguished career of some 50 years in the field of architectural design.
Architectus CEO, Ray Brown said, “during his time at Architectus Ross has led many great projects across architecture and master planning including the Crown Street, Surry Hills apartments for the NSW Department of Housing; the Sydney Nanoscience Hub at the University of Sydney; The Platform Apartments; Canberra’s Capital Metro, and many large and complex master plans in China including the mixed use cultural precinct Maanshan City Centre including opera house and administration centre. Ross founded two international studios, in China and the Middle East and travelled extensively to both regions for over 15 years, completing many projects. As a Board member Ross contributed to the success of Architectus through strategy development and strong governance and culture. Ross’ work ethic, attention to detail and good humour will be sorely missed at Architectus and we all wish him well as he takes on new challenges. He will always be part of the Architectus family.”
