PNG NMAG: far and away projects
Stephanie Donigi shares cultural considerations on PNG NMAG
In a panel discussion at Artichoke Night School, an Architecture Media Design Speaks event held in Brisbane last week, Architectus Associate Stephanie Donigi shared insights into the Architectus designed Papua New Guinea National Museum and Art Gallery (PNG NMAG) project.
Stephanie discussed the cultural and communication considerations inherent in delivering the PNG NMAG project. Architectus’ design transformed the gallery into a vibrant and welcoming cultural hub, while the exhibition respects and celebrates the social significance of the objects on display and their material qualities.
Another key element of this project was the collaborative working relationship with PNG NMAG curatorial staff and the Architectus exhibition design team.
