The project also won the Education Initiative or a Design Solution for an Innovative Program award and a commendation in the New Construction/New Individual Facility category.

The awards follow recent wins at the Australian Institute of Architects VIC Chapter Awards with Arts West picking up an Educational Architecture award and the COLORBOND© Award for Steel Architecture. The Gipson Commons at St Michael’s Grammar School won an award in the Interior Architecture category.

Principal Ruth Wilson said, “The award wins are a significant achievement for Architectus and great recognition of the team’s outstanding work in the design and thought leadership of education buildings.”
