Architectus-designed Airport UX Simulation debuts at the World Passenger Terminal Expo, Paris
Architectus Principal Karl Traeger will present the Airport UX Simulation System (A-UX) at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Paris, France on 16 June 2022.
Karl will introduce the fully interactive, multiplayer desktop and virtual reality system that may be adapted to any airport.
A-UX is designed to support people with disabilities and special needs, helping them to manage their anxiety levels by simulating the processes of using the airport prior to travel. A-UX also provides a training tool for airport staff to empathise with travellers with special needs. Staff experience the facilities they manage through the eyes of people with a variety of disabilities or special needs, improving their understanding of the passenger journey experience and increasing efficiency in throughput.
Karl is passionate about delivering integrated and elegant design solutions for large, complex projects and creating vital and cultural places using collaborative design processes. In his role as aviation leader at Architectus, he has conceived and led research projects in the development of interactive simulations for airports that focus on enabling or improving the travel experience for people with disabilities and special needs.
The Passenger Terminal Expo and Conference is the most highly regarded airport conference in the world, showcasing the very latest innovations and solutions to enhance efficiency, safety and the passenger experience for airports across the globe with over 10,000 people from at least 130 countries attending each year.
