Architectus appoints two new Principals in Sydney and Perth

Congratulations to Patricia Bondin and Mark Black on their promotions to Principals in our Sydney and Perth Studios.

Patricia and Mark have proven to be talented leaders within the practice since joining in early 2020 – Patricia through her compelling approach to design and leadership within our Interior Architecture team, and Mark through his exceptional contribution to Residential and Commercial projects and leadership of the Perth studio.

Patricia Bondin

Patricia’s exemplary work in interior architecture spans sectors and reflects a thoughtful exploration of context, site and project requirements, underpinned by a deep focus on client drivers. She has more than two decades of experience creating enduring and sophisticated environments that put sustainability and people front and centre in all projects.

At Architectus, she has led the interior strategy and design of significant projects across multiple sectors and has been instrumental in numerous competitions.

A generous and natural mentor, Patricia is committed to supporting, teaching and empowering the next generation of designers. She has recently been appointed co-chair of the Design Leadership Group in recognition of her design advocacy across Architectus.

Mark Black

Mark is a highly experienced and versatile designer whose career spans ECI, D&C and novated consultant roles across mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, health, residential, student accommodation and retirement living projects. Supportive and warm in his leadership style, Mark will continue in his role as Studio Leader in Perth.

Mark’s portfolio reveals considerable expertise in complex, mixed-use buildings. He has led design teams on a 5-star hotel within a dynamic, green precinct in the centre of Perth, future-focused seniors living projects, and a major hospital grounded in evidence-based design.

At Architectus, Mark has demonstrated his capability and leadership on Kings Square 5, a major future commercial tower within the Perth City Link Precinct.
