Professional Experience

Joining Architectus in 2019, David Holden has 10 years of experience encompassing major infrastructure projects in Hong Kong to heritage castle refurbishments in Wales. After beginning his career in his native United Kingdom and developing his skills in Hong Kong, David relocated to Australia in 2014 to launch the Sydney studio of his London-based employer.

A capable leader, David has managed design teams and consultant coordination on major projects from early design development to D&C tender to final handover. Throughout each project’s life, he works openly and effectively with clients to deliver on their brief.

David believes good design is the product of a well-coordinated building and a sound rationale. He enjoys designing within the nuances, limits, and challenges of each project, whether it be complex infrastructure development, a sensitive heritage refurbishment or a building with multiple stakeholder interfaces.

A registered architect in both Australia and the United Kingdom, David has international experience working on projects in Australia, England, Wales, Hong Kong, China and Qatar.
