Sydney’s new skyline centrepiece

Six years in the making and a centrepiece of Sydney’s new world-class precinct Sydney Place, Salesforce Tower has reached practical completion.

The landmark 263-metre-tall skyscraper is a collaborative design effort between Foster + Partners, alongside Lendlease, with Architectus as Executive Architect. Salesforce Tower has made a significant contribution to Sydney’s city skyline with its innovative form and structure featuring a series of angled external braces derived from genetic algorithm optimized structural diagrams. At ground level, a rich urban precinct of laneways and public squares will link George and Pitt Street and beyond to Circular Quay.

Principals Dario Spralja and Silvia Cupik were recently on site to join the official celebrations. “Since the design excellence competition in 2016, we have supported Foster + Partners in the design, documentation and delivery of Salesforce Tower. This landmark project is a result of numerous companies and talented individuals. Our collaboration with Foster + Partners has been a successful and rewarding experience. Together we provided leading international and local expertise which ensured delivery of the world class tower we see today.”
