Long-standing director Mark Wilde retires
After over 40 years in architecture, most of it spent as director of Architectus, Mark Wilde will retire at the end of 2018.
Mark joined the practice in 1986 and has played a significant role in the evolution of Architectus, particularly in leading the design of projects in the industrial, logistics, transport and law court sectors.
Managing Director Ray Brown said, “Mark is known for his clear analytical thinking, his ability to tackle complex briefs and lead cohesive, focused teams. Through his work on the Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law in Brisbane, Mark championed the use of natural light in court rooms of the highest jurisdiction and changed the court room paradigm in Australia forever. His latest project, the Shepparton Law Courts, builds on this human-centric design approach.
As a board member, Mark contributed to the success of Architectus through strategy development with a focus on technology and systems innovation. Mark’s approach has always been authentic and collaborative, he has developed the talent within our practice and has mentored many of our current and future leaders. We wish Mark all the very best in his retirement and thank him for his dedication and leadership.”
