Dr Stephen Long speaks at Optimising Health Environments Forum

This week, Principal and National Public Sector Leader, Dr Stephen Long will speak at the Optimising Health Environments (OHE) Forum.

As National Public Sector Leader at Architectus, Stephen has experience in architecture and anthropology and specialises in the design and delivery of major public buildings. Stephen’s PhD and postdoctoral studies explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage and relationships to place.

Having undertaken extensive fieldwork with remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and being instrumental in the design and delivery of the $1.8 billion Sunshine Coast University Hospital and the award-winning Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law, Stephen will discuss models of cross- cultural design and engagement on Wednesday 21 April 2021 from 1:10pm AEST.

The OHE Forum has been running for 7 years and is led by Professor Julie Bernhardt of the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health. This year, the forum will be a hybrid in-person/virtual event, bringing together individuals from a range of backgrounds with an interest in heath environments to share knowledge and build collaborative links.
