Architectus to design commercial research precinct

Westmead to gain commercial research precinct

Architectus are excited to again be working with Charter Hall and Western Sydney University on Westmead Commercial Campus. The research hub will have an emphasis on health and well-being, encompassing commercial space that facilitates direct connection with industry partners.

Embracing passive design principles, the building’s environmental performance was a key consideration throughout the design process.

An active and inclusive public realm strategy reinforces a strong notion of precinct engagement as an anchor to the narrative of wellness. The ground plane between the two buildings is designed to be open, activated, and green, and is imperative in supporting connectivity to the overall precinct master plan.
