Matthew is a Senior Associate in the Architectus Health team with more than 18 years of international experience in architecture and project management. His work spans Australia, Asia, Africa, and Europe, with a particular focus on public, healthcare, and institutional projects delivered in complex or resource-constrained environments. Much of his career has centred on infrastructure that supports education, health, intergovernmental collaboration, and community development.
Matthew brings a calm, hands-on leadership style to his role, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and aligning diverse stakeholder interests. He’s known for his ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear, actionable plans—ensuring that design vision is not lost in the realities of project delivery. Clients and colleagues value his clarity, reliability, and steady presence under pressure.
His portfolio includes philanthropic and development-sector projects in Ethiopia, India, Kenya, and Cambodia, as well as a suite of United Nations and intergovernmental facilities across Africa. Many of these were delivered in collaboration with NGOs, multilateral agencies, and government bodies, requiring a high level of coordination, cultural understanding, and accountability.
