Nicole Milne

Nicole is a passionate, forward-thinking design leader whose career spans multiple sectors and markets.

Working across Australia and Asia, she has led the concept design and development of a diverse portfolio of multi-storey residential, hotel, commercial, and masterplan projects in close collaboration with private developers, multi-national real estate groups, hotel operators, retail organisations and all levels of government.

Her projects range from a 394-apartment luxury residential tower in the coastal suburbs of Queensland, to a retail and residential master plan for a new precinct in Brisbane, to a Gold Coast hotel and apartments with 200 rooms and 160 residences.

Nicole is known for her strategic thinking and innovative architectural solutions responding to the unique geographical and climatic conditions of each project. She’s driven by a strong interest in the relationship between nature, the built environment, and the cultural context, with sustainable design principles as an integral focus.

At Architectus, she provides valuable leadership as part of our Living team, where she’s focused on mentoring and supporting the next generation of talent while designing and delivering outstanding residential work.

Before joining us, Nicole was a senior leader in the Bates Smart studio in Brisbane. Over the course of her career, she has served as an awards juror numerous times with the AIA Queensland in the Commercial, Multi-Residential and Interiors categories, and she previously lectured and tutored in architecture at UTS in Sydney.
