Wungong is one of Western Australia’s largest new primary schools, with a K-6 campus designed to accommodate close to 1,000 students.
It’s also the first school in the new Wungong Urban development area – around 1600 hectares of semi-rural land in Perth’s southeast that will eventually be home to around 40,000 people.
The school is being built in two stages, with the first bricks-and-mortar classrooms in Stage 1 designed for around 540 students.
Spaces for every need
The primary school features a range of fit-for-purpose teaching and learning spaces.
For kindergarten and pre-primary students, there are five classrooms plus shaded play areas.
The two double-storey teaching blocks on the site incorporate:
-13 general classrooms
-An inclusive education classroom
-Science and art rooms, and
-A library resource centre.
Complementary spaces include a covered assembly area with an adjoining music room and canteen, hardcourts, a school oval and play areas.
