The World Trade Centre Perth engaged Architectus to undertake a master planning and vision study for a mixed use development on a site located in the heart of Perth’s cultural district.
The project incorporates several components including a significant tower with commercial offices, a 4 star hotel, serviced apartments and an exhibition and function centre; a dedicated city university faculty building; a science centre with a planetarium, and a stand alone hotel.
The World Trade Centre development sits on a corner directly across the road from Perth Museum and the Art Gallery of Western Australia and careful positioning and articulation of the buildings has created a large covered plaza that guides visitors to the Science and exhibition facilities.
The main World Trade Centre Tower has been placed on the south western corner of the site taking advantage of a kink in the road that leads directly to Elizabeth Quay and the Swan River such that it is on the end of a very important North-South city axis.
