An award-winning adaptive re-use project, the Whitty Building Clinical School’s redesign creates a modern and innovative education environment that supports peer-to-peer learning opportunities.
Architectus Conrad Gargett’s sensitive design revitalises the heritage campus. The introduction of a new glazed atrium connects existing buildings and creates alternative teaching and learning spaces.
The renovated facility includes learning spaces supported by video conferencing to promote distance and international education. It also features collaborative seminar rooms, high- and low-fidelity simulation facilities, and problem-based learning spaces.
The new school’s design incorporates sustainability initiatives to achieve a 5-star Green Star rating.
