The UQ Herston Campus plays a key role in the consolidation and future of Herston as Queensland’s pre-eminent health knowledge, education, and research precinct.
The development maximises the potential of the UQ Herston Campus, based on informed and well-planned responses to the Herston Quarter development.
The UQ Herston Campus (including the Mayne Medical Site) plays a key role in consolidating Herston as the health and knowledge centre of Brisbane. The campus also forms a key part of the health and knowledge corridor, linking the two UQ campuses with the PA Hospital, Mater Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, and TRI.
Undertaking a new Masterplan for the UQ Herston Campus ensures that UQ can best respond to the broad-scale reshaping of Herston, and that development is both visionary (in line with the original vision which established the site) and well-informed (made in a planned way based on sound understanding and analysis).
