The University of Southern Queensland’s campus redevelopment project aims to enhance the wayfinding strategy of the Toowoomba campus, creating modern teaching and learning facilities that appeal to students, staff, and the broader public.

The concept design introduces wayfinding elements along spine paths, with stakeholder engagement facilitated through advanced visualisation tools. Intuitive wayfinding is integrated through in-ground wayfinding, as well as hard landscaping elements such as shade and seating structures, supplementary features like water elements, and strategic signage proposed at circulation nodes and along spine paths.

The outcome includes the establishment of defined community, arts, health, sport, and research clusters, and a logical primary pedestrian spine through the heart of the campus, reflecting Toowoomba’s Garden City reputation.
