The Sydney Commonwealth Parliament Offices (CPO), located across three levels at 1 Bligh Street, are a unique environment which provide office accommodation for Australian government Ministerial and Parliamentary staff while visiting NSW and also provide an important gateway for Parliamentarians when meeting international dignitaries.
Winner of the 2014 Australian Institute of Architects John Verge Award for Interior Architecture, the central objective for our design was to create flexible and highly secure office accommodation for public and private uses while fully optimising the unique qualities of 1 Bligh.
The timeless design was influenced by the unique nature and character of Sydney, drawing inspiration from natural daylight, views to the harbour, transparency, coastal form and local materials.
The CPO comprises suites for the Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition and other federal Ministers, along with conference and meeting spaces, media and press rooms and associated facilities.
The Sydney Commonwealth Parliament Offices achieved a GBCA 6 Star Green Star Office Interiors v1.1 Rating.
