Sydney Airport engaged Architectus to design the refurbishment of the Arrivals Level in the International Terminal.

The scope of works includes upgrades to the floor, wall and ceiling finishes throughout the Arrivals Concourses and Reclaim Hall with the objective of improving the passenger experience.

The upgrade works will improve operations, declutter the Arrivals environment and provide more intuitive wayfinding. The concept aims to provide a sense of place with easily accessible information about Sydney and “what’s on”.

The arrivals experience will be tailored to specific groups; premium passengers, emerging markets, families and aged travellers, with the product offering catering to their requirements. Working around the existing functional constraints, we want to ensure that passengers have a controlled, seamless and pleasurable experience after disembarking a long-haul flight.
