From its halcyon days as a dairy / coal producer during the 40s and 50s, Rosewood is again experiencing an uplift in its urban and community renewal. The new Rosewood Library is a significant investment by Ipswich City Council in that the renewal offers the perfect vehicle to strengthen and reinforce community pride and repair some of the missing elements of its urban infrastructure.

On the corner of John Street and Railway Street, the site is the gateway to the main street and the first point of address to the town center after crossing the railway tracks.

Judicious design will create a cornerstone for the town center and provide a reference point for other significant community buildings in Rosewood.
