The Qantas Adelaide lounge precinct at Adelaide International Airport is set to redefine the customer experience, incorporating regional influences into the airline’s refreshed lounge design.
The precinct is one of many projects we’ve worked on with Qantas over a 25-year relationship, from the design of training centres and maintenance facilities to terminal upgrades and lounge fitouts.
For this project, we renovated the Qantas Club and Chairman’s Lounge as well as introduced a Domestic Business Lounge and shared entry. The work was staged to minimise disruption to the airline’s valued customers.
Each lounge design is inspired by the unique characteristics of Adelaide and South Australia, including iconic locations such as the Flinders Ranges and Sellicks Beach.
Tailored to each customer tier, the warm and inclusive new spaces are also designed to be efficient and easily maintained.
Experience-led spaces that engage the senses
Locally sourced materials, furniture, and fittings in each lounge reflect the Qantas customer – from the relaxed, family-friendly environment of the Qantas Club to a sophisticated, effortless Business Lounge experience to the elegant ambience of the Chairman’s Lounge.
Grounded in wellbeing principles, the spaces engage the senses through colours, textures, natural light, and materials, drawing on the distinctive look and feel of South Australia’s breathtaking and varied landscapes and culture.
A durable fit-out ensures Qantas can continue offering exceptional, reliable service for years to come.
