NEXTDC’s new data centre on the Sunshine Coast adjoins the company’s existing SC1 facility. Co-located with the international submarine cable landing station in Maroochydore, the five level, 3700sqm SC2 centre will house data halls, offices, breakout spaces and front-of-house facilities
This critical infrastructure will help meet user demand and support economic growth in the expanding city and wider region.
The building’s design is a thoughtful response to the local context, creating a smooth transition between taller developments in the city centre and low-rise residential buildings to the east of the site while leveraging and expanding on neighbouring landscape.
The development will reinforce the reputation of the Sunshine Coast as an emerging hub for the tech industry and as a place for innovation.
