The Macquarie Brisbane workplace is a next-generation, tech-enabled environment designed to create a sense of belonging and wellbeing. At the same time, it reflects the local and global stories of the company’s ingenuity, culture, and achievements.
The workplace is a hub connected to the surrounding community as well as Macquarie’s teams nationally and globally.
As lead consultant, Architectus collaborated with local and international designers to deliver an industry-leading workplace that fosters collaboration, supports distributed teams, and promotes sustainability.
A creative, agile environment
Aligned with Macquarie’s vision for the future of work, the workplace is designed to foster creativity and enhance the employee experience.
Spanning 2.5 floors, the environment follows the principle of a stable core with a flexible edge to promote agility, with a signature staircase and void providing transparency and accessibility.
A ‘Digital Soul’ serves as a centerpiece for branding and global connectivity, facilitating events like global town halls. The mobile concierge desk and flexible meeting spaces are also adaptable for events.
Connected to its local context
Inspired by the vibrant culture of Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley neighbourhood, the space features exposed ceilings and natural light to connect with the local precinct.
Artwork reflecting Brisbane’s culture is integrated throughout the space, enhancing its connection to the local context.
